Bio

Alan Koh is the Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Impossible Marketing (a group of companies), renowned for its data-driven and digital marketing strategies tailored specifically for businesses in Singapore.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Alan began his career in the banking industry, where his drive and performance earned him eight industry awards within just four years. In 2009, he left the financial industry to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions.

The early years were far from easy. Alan experienced the collapse of 11 business ventures and lost more than 90% of his savings in the process. However, these setbacks became the foundation of his resilience and growth.

In 2012, Alan founded Impossible Marketing with a simple yet powerful belief: “I’m Possible.” Starting as a one-man operation, he focused on building a sustainable business from the ground up. Over time, the company grew steadily and has since become one of Singapore’s leading digital marketing agencies.

Under Alan’s leadership, the company has evolved beyond traditional SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) to embrace next-generation strategies such as GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation). While SEO focuses on improving visibility on search engines like Google, GEO and AEO are designed to position brands within AI-driven platforms and answer engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews. This ensures that businesses are not only searchable, but also discoverable in the growing ecosystem of AI-powered recommendations and direct answers.

In recognition of his perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit, Alan was awarded the Spirit of Enterprise (SOE) Award in 2016. This award honours individuals who embody the entrepreneurial spirit through not only business achievements, but also courage, integrity, and contributions to the community.

Volunteer Role & Focus:

Having experienced firsthand how entrepreneurship transformed his life, Alan is deeply passionate about giving back. He is committed to supporting and uplifting fellow entrepreneurs in Singapore, helping them navigate challenges and achieve sustainable growth.

In 2025, Alan accepted the role of Chairman of the Board of Governors at Spirit of Enterprise (SOE), where he continues to drive this mission forward. He currently leads the PR & Media Outreach department, focusing on elevating the SOE brand and expanding its digital presence through web and social media strategies. Through his efforts, SOE continues to broaden its reach and deepen its impact within Singapore’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
