Camera flashes, formal wear, and the buzz of entrepreneurs meeting one another for the first time set the tone for the evening. This was the scene at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, on 21 August 2026, as Spirit of Enterprise (SOE) welcomed this year’s Award Honourees and student winners for the SOE Awards 2026 Honourees Briefing. This year’s briefing stood as its own occasion, giving Honourees and student winners space to focus purely on preparation, connection and celebration ahead of the SOE Awards Ceremony & Gala. The SOE Board of Governors came together for our July board meeting, catching up on SOE’s activities and programmes over the past few months and working through a full agenda of items for discussion. The meeting served as a checkpoint for the Board, giving everyone visibility into how our various initiatives have been progressing and providing space to raise new topics that need our collective attention. It’s this kind of regular touchpoint that keeps our Board aligned and our programmes moving forward. We were also glad to have Rachel Wong and Thomas Fernandez, two of SOE’s Past Presidents, join us as observers for the meeting. We’re grateful they continue to stay connected with SOE’s work. Business leaders, entrepreneurs, sponsors and supporters gathered at Laguna National Golf Resort Club on 1 July for the Spirit of Enterprise (SOE) Fundraising Golf Challenge 2026. The annual charity event combined golf, networking and fundraising in support of SOE’s youth-focused programmes, which promote entrepreneurship and connect young people with established business leaders. Behind SOE’s Mission Founded in 2003, SOE is a non-profit Institution of a Public Character that champions entrepreneurship in Singapore. It honours local entrepreneurs and inspires youths through mentorship, education and knowledge-sharing.
