The SOE Board of Governors came together for our July board meeting, catching up on SOE’s activities and programmes over the past few months and working through a full agenda of items for discussion.
The meeting served as a checkpoint for the Board, giving everyone visibility into how our various initiatives have been progressing and providing space to raise new topics that need our collective attention. It’s this kind of regular touchpoint that keeps our Board aligned and our programmes moving forward.
We were also glad to have Rachel Wong and Thomas Fernandez, two of SOE’s Past Presidents, join us as observers for the meeting. We’re grateful they continue to stay connected with SOE’s work.
After the meeting wrapped up, the day took a lighter turn. The Board surprised our Vice President, Sivanessan s/o Kitnasamy, with a birthday celebration, complete with cake and well wishes from everyone present. It was a fitting way to close out a productive session, celebrating both the work we do and the people who make it happen.
A big thank you to every Board member, past and present, who joined us in July. Your time, insights and commitment continue to move SOE forward, and we look forward to the next milestone together.
