It felt just like yesterday that
preparations began for the SOE Awards 2025 – the excitement, food tastings, and months of planning all leading up to a night that reminded us why the Spirit of Enterprise matters. On 27 October 2025, the SOE Awards 2025 Ceremony & Gala took centre stage at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, bringing together a community united by enterprise, resilience, and purpose.

As guests arrived in their evening best, the atmosphere was charged with pride – not only for the honourees being recognised but for Singapore itself. Coinciding with SG60, this year’s celebration symbolised six decades of independence, progress, and entrepreneurial grit.

A milestone celebration for Singapore and entrepreneurs

The SOE Awards 2025 was more than an evening of recognition; it was a tribute to the people who shape our nation’s economy with their courage and creativity. Over 600 guests filled the grand ballroom to celebrate 53 honourees, whose stories embody resilience, innovation, and leadership.

This year also marked the debut of the SOE Micro-business Award, a new category recognising small business owners like the hawkers, tradesmen, and one-person operations who may work quietly behind the scenes but make an outsized impact in their industries and communities.

Recognising excellence and inspiring the next generation

The night’s programme reflected the best of Singapore’s entrepreneurial spirit, from heartfelt moments to inspiring speeches. Guest-of-Honour Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of National Development, delivered an uplifting address that celebrated the perseverance of local entrepreneurs and encouraged the next generation to dream big and lead with purpose.

Among this year’s top honourees were:

  • Rachel Wong, Marunda Private Limited – SOE-CLA Global TS Entrepreneurship Award
  • Tan Lih Woei, Lih Ming Construction Pte Ltd – SOE-PropNex Top Honouree of the Year Award
  • Anna V. Haotanto, Zora Health – SOE-Neo Top Start-up Honouree of the Year Award
  • Hamidah Aidillah Mustafa, Parrot Social Pte Ltd – SOE-Dian Xiao Er Social Contributions Award
  • Jeffrey Liew, Sapphire Windows Pte Ltd – SOE-EATZ Sustainability Award

Each story was a testament to perseverance, innovation, and the power of purpose – proof that entrepreneurship is about more than profit; it’s about creating impact, inspiring others and strengthening communities.

Celebrating student changemakers

A particularly heartwarming moment came with the recognition of the four Student Interviewer Award winners. These young changemakers spent months interviewing nominees and documenting their journeys; a learning experience that bridges education and enterprise. Their curiosity and passion reflect the bright future of Singapore’s entrepreneurial landscape, one where mentorship, learning, and collaboration continue to thrive. Beyond this, the ceremony also honoured outstanding youth through the SOE Student Achievement Award, celebrating students who demonstrated exceptional leadership, resilience, and community spirit. Their contributions remind us that future leaders are already shaping Singapore’s entrepreneurial and social impact ecosystem today.

The awards also honoured the SOE Board of Governors, whose commitment ensures the continued integrity and prestige of the SOE Awards. Their dedication, along with the visionary leadership of SOE President Ms Novie Djayayanti Tjoa, and the steadfast support of SOE Secretariat Ms Geraldine Lim, has guided the organisation to new heights and reinforced its mission to honour and inspire entrepreneurs across Singapore.

A toast to 60 years of progress and purpose

Beyond the awards, the evening was filled with connection and reflection. Over fine dining and conversation, guests exchanged ideas, celebrated milestones, and envisioned the next chapter of Singapore’s enterprise story. The Ritz-Carlton’s elegant setting provided the perfect backdrop for this milestone year, as Singapore marks 60 years of independence.

The night’s theme resonated deeply, celebrating not just individual success, but the collective spirit of enterprise that has fuelled Singapore’s growth since its founding.

Looking ahead

As the final applause echoed through the ballroom, guests left inspired – reminded that perseverance, purpose, and passion remain at the heart of entrepreneurship. The SOE Awards 2025 will be remembered not only for its glamour but for its heart; from recognising trailblazers to empowering students. It was a celebration of people, progress, and purpose.

A heartfelt thank you to the organising committee, partners, sponsors, and supporters who made this event possible – and to every entrepreneur who continues to embody the Spirit of Enterprise.

The Spirit of Enterprise would also like to express our deepest appreciation to our Guest-of-Honour, Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of National Development. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Mr Chee Hong Tat, Minister for National Development, for his continued patronage and steadfast support of SOE’s mission to uplift, celebrate, and inspire Singapore’s entrepreneurial community.

The Spirit of Enterprise continues, and with it, the stories of those who dare to dream, build, and make a difference.
